1. Purpose of the Site

  • This system provides learners, staff, and assessors with a digital portfolio platform for education, training, reflection, and assessment.

  • It is part of AH&MRC’s commitment to supporting learning pathways and professional development in Aboriginal health.

2. Ownership of Content

  • All portfolio artifacts (documents, videos, reflections, images, audio, etc.) uploaded by you remain 100% owned by you.

  • You grant AH&MRC limited permission to access your content only for learning, assessment, and support purposes.

  • AH&MRC respects Aboriginal Data Sovereignty. You have the right to control your data, and your portfolio will not be shared outside AH&MRC without your consent, except where required by law.

3. User Responsibilities

When using this site, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information in your portfolio.

  • Respect the cultural and intellectual property rights of others when uploading content.

  • Not upload offensive, unlawful, discriminatory, or harmful material.

  • Protect your login details and not share your account with others.

4. Access and Use by AH&MRC

  • AH&MRC staff and assessors may review your portfolio to coordinate the grading of your evidence and support your training.

  • AH&MRC may use anonymised or aggregated data for reporting, program improvement, and research purposes.

  • AH&MRC will not publish, sell, or distribute your portfolio content.

5. Privacy and Data Security

  • All data is stored in Australia and protected under the highest cybersecurity standards.

  • AH&MRC has procedures in place to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Materials provided by AH&MRC (e.g. learning resources, templates, assessment tools) are the intellectual property of AH&MRC and must not be copied, distributed, or reused without permission.

  • You retain copyright over your own work and portfolio content.

7. Termination of Use

  • You may deactivate or export your portfolio at any time.

  • AH&MRC reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms and Conditions.

8. Disclaimer

  • AH&MRC provides this system “as is” and makes every effort to ensure it is reliable and secure.

  • However, AH&MRC is not liable for any technical disruptions, loss of data, or issues caused by misuse of the platform.

9. Changes to Terms and Conditions

  • AH&MRC may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

  • Any changes will be communicated through the site. Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of updated terms.

The 'mystoryportfolio.online' is provided by the Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council (AH&MRC) to support learners, staff, and assessors in building, managing, and sharing digital portfolios.

Data Storage and Security

  • All information and data uploaded to this system is stored securely within Australia.

  • AH&MRC maintains the highest levels of cybersecurity and data protection to safeguard your information from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure.

Aboriginal Data Sovereignty

We respect and uphold Aboriginal Data Sovereignty. This means:

  • You, as the creator, own 100% of the artifacts and information you upload.

  • Your portfolio content is controlled by you, and you decide what to include and how it is presented.

  • AH&MRC acknowledges that Aboriginal people have the right to govern the collection, ownership, and application of their own data.

Use of Information

  • AH&MRC staff and assessors may only access your portfolio for the sole purpose of:

    • Reviewing your submitted evidence,

    • Coordinating the grading process, and

    • Supporting your learning and professional development.

  • AH&MRC will not share, publish, or disclose your portfolio content outside of these purposes without your explicit consent, except where required by law.

Your Rights and Control

  • You can access, update, or delete your own portfolio content at any time.

  • You control who can view or share your portfolio pages and collections.

  • You may export your portfolio to keep a personal copy outside the system.
